a fraction for reflection
a moment of respite
a time to gather up my thoughts
and hold them to the light

a wait to come from under
a rest to sit and ponder
a place of stillness wonder

the pressure begins lifting
the atmosphere quite placid
then like a rain of acid

as bumble bees infesting
concerns and cravings begin nesting
simple solitude digesting

the interior is crumbling
swatting wildly at dive bombers
searching for a place of cover

vainly seeking the cessation
in need of fumigation
a mental evacuation
exhale and inhalation
