R.I.P. Robin Williams (1951—2014)
His public persona, filmography, was built mostly on a happy, excitable, jovial guy but his agent said he had been battling severe depression.
It had to be tough, people expecting you to always be funny, the life of the party, the center of attention, while inside you’re fighting demons which haunt your mind and spirit.
My wife was shocked when I told her the news. She said; “I really liked him!” I think most people did.
We never know the battles folks are waging, the wounds they carry.
In a world which claims to be ever more connected it’s incredibly sad to know he died so alone.
