Eyes of Thankfulness

image

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving! It’s a day set aside for remembering just how much we have to be thankful for and how much we take for granted.

Too often our lives are stuffed full with things that don’t really matter, harm us, take our focus off of the good. The day after Thanksgiving, aptly named “Black Friday,” embodies much of what’s dark and cynical about our world and our human nature.

A day such as Thanksgiving dares us to regain our balance, bearings, to believe there is much goodness and light in our world. It tells us we already have what we’re searching for, we only need eyes to see it.

blessings,
