Summer Fever in December

Today was the last day of a week long seminar on Growing Great Families. Lots of great, useful, needed information but even too much of a good thing can be overwhelming! Our instructor kept us focused but the closer we got to the finish line the more fidgety I became. I remarked to a fellow attendee while we were on a break; “this feels like the last day of school. I think I’ve got summer fever!” She admitted to coming down with it as well. I asked some other participants what they were going to do with their weekend and the answer was; “not much!” My feelings, exactly!

Seasons of stimulation, excitement, growth are wonderful but too much learning without processing, up time without down time, expanding without settling, moving without resting is not healthy or wise. So, after one last session, we were free to go and find a nice quiet place to do anything we wanted…or nothing at all.

blessings,
