To Save a Life
I received a notification today that my CPR certification was close to expiration and I needed to be recertified. This was surprising because, while important, I’ve never been trained to do CPR. I signed up for the course and began thinking about what I’d do if someone near me stopped breathing or their heart stopped beating. Thankfully I’ve never been in that situation but knowing what to do could be life saving.
I then thought about those I encounter on the road of life who’s existence consists of just a beating heart and lungs that fill with air. There’s no joy in living, no appreciation of each breath, no sense of purpose that comes with the heart that beats within their breast.
I decided it would be good to try and help both…
