Bent Not Broken
The wind is blowing mightily today. The branches are swaying, the few remaining dead leaves coming loose and drifting away to parts unknown. The stems, which held the leaves to the branches, were stiff, fragile, brittle and can’t bear the force of the repeated blasts.
Life has a way of trying to blow us around and over. Troubles and difficulties sweep into our lives threatening that which we hold dear. If we are rigidly holding onto our possessions, grasping that which we treasure, our tenuous holds will be broken along with our connection to peace and contentment.
Being flexible, adaptable, willing to accept change ensures us that the ever shifting winds of a chaotic world won’t blow us away.
