Progression not Perfection

I spoke with a group of guys today about the importance of good choices in the quest to make one’s life better.

It’s not easy to change permanently.” I told them. “Oftentimes others do not notice the difference, acknowledge the transition, are jaded by our pasts, and are unwilling or unable to notice we are more than what we’ve been. To improve ourselves for the acknowledgement and accolades of others will only end in disappointment. We must not base our progress on other’s approval and acceptance.”

Our desire, motivation for change must come from some place deeper. It is within we discover our purpose and the resolve to become who we’re meant to be and what we’re meant to do.

The outside world is always in flux, people and their emotions, praise are fickled. It is only in the deepest levels of ourselves where we’ll find the strength to never give up on us.
