Facing the Light

Last year, when we moved into our house, it was the middle of winter. It didn’t take us long to realize the Sun rose at a certain spot and, if you parked your car facing it, the light and the warmth would take care of the morning chill’s icy gift.

This morning when I took the dogs outside, I noticed there was a heavy frost and that my truck was parked in the wrong direction . As a result it took a while before I could safely drive.

It was a great reminder that unless we are facing the light, being made warm by the Spirit, we can quickly grow cold and find it difficult to find our way.
