Carry the Load

Earlier today I ran into a grocery store to pick up a few drinks for a holiday party I was attending. As I stood in line waiting for the elderly lady in front of me to finish being checked out I noticed she had a big bag of cat food. She had trouble lifting it onto the conveyor belt so when the cashier had scanned the item I offered to place the cat food back in her grocery cart and she accepted. A simple gesture to help someone. A request to lift a heavy burden for a short while so another could rest.

Wisdom tells us that we should always be ready to help each other through acts of random kindness. If all of us are watching for an opportunity to help and willing to shoulder the burden of another we can change the world.
